Kathie’s Bio

Kathie Lee Gifford is the four-time Emmy award winning co-host of the fourth hour of “TODAY,” alongside Hoda Kotb. The Gifford-Kotb hour has been hailed as “appointment television” by Entertainment Weekly, and “TODAY’s happy hour” by USA Today.

In 2014, Gifford penned the critically acclaimed “TODAY, the Musical,” featuring the hosts and crew of the show, and each month she writes a new song for the popular segment, Everyone Has a Story.

Prior to NBC News, Gifford served as the co-host of “Live with Regis and Kathie Lee” for 15 years, where she received 11 Emmy nominations.  She was also a correspondent for “Good Morning America” for three years. In 2015 Gifford was inducted into the Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame.

A playwright, producer, singer, songwriter and actress, Gifford has starred in numerous television programs and movies in her 45-year career. She has her own record label and has written several musicals including Broadway’s SCANDALOUS, which received a Tony nomination for Best Actress in 2012.  Gifford also starred on Broadway in “Putting it Together” and “Annie.” She recently debuted three new songs, “Love Me to Death”, “He Saw Jesus” and “Jesus Is His Name” with Grammy winning singer, writer, and producer Brett James. Each song debuted #1 on iTunes. She has recently wrapped post production on “Then Came You,” a film she has written, produced and starred in alongside Craig Ferguson. Gifford co-wrote the score for the film with Brett James. In April of this year she made her directorial debut with THE GOD WHO SEES short film, shot in Israel and based on a song she co-wrote with Grammy-nominated Nicole C. Mullen.

Gifford authored four NY Times bestselling books including “The Rock, The Road and the Rabbi”, “Just When I Thought I’d Dropped My Last Egg,” “I Can’t Believe I Said That,” and the popular children’s book “Party Animals.” In October of 2018 she released the children’s book, “The Gift That I Can Give” with all proceeds going to Childhelp. She also launched GIFFT, a line of wine with the Scheid Family Vineyards in Monterey, CA.

Gifford lends support to numerous children’s organizations including Childhelp, the International Justice Mission, and the Association to Benefit Children, which spawned Cassidy’s Place and Cody House, named after her two children. A devoted humanitarian, she received an honorary degree from Marymount University for her humanitarian work in labor relations.

Nicole’s Bio

Like Never Before is more than just the title of Nicole C. Mullen’s new full-length album, it also captures the essence of her personal journey of love, loss and redemption. Mullen has long been known as an undeniably talented artist who is unafraid to be vulnerable and transparent with her audience. She has been recognized with two Grammy® Award nominations and seven Gospel Music Association Dove Awards,

including two Female Vocalist of the Year honors, Song of Year for “Redeemer” and “On My Knees”, Songwriter of the Year and the Urban Album of the Year for “Everyday People,” Contemporary Song of the year (Call on Jesus), and the first African American to win Songwriter of the Year. The singer/songwriter was invited by Lou Engle to sing her song, “Arise,” at The Call / Rise Up, held in Washington D.C. Thousands of women gathered where they were encouraged to rise up as Esthers on behalf of the next generation. The song was inspired by Mark 5:41 where Jesus speaks to a little girl who has died and says, “Talitha, cumi, Little girl, I say to you, arise.”

Mullen, now a single mom, has emerged from a difficult divorce and can relate to those who have walked through betrayal and hurt in the midst of relationship. She has learned to forgive and come out of a ‘night season’ stronger than she’s ever been before. “I want people to be healed, released, empowered and encouraged by my songs,” said Mullen.

Few artists in any genre of music possess a more diverse resume than Nicole C. Mullen. As a gifted songwriter, she often infuses scripture into the songs she writes as a vehicle to encourage, inspire and teach. From her early days as a vocalist/dancer/choreographer, to writing and recording such classic hits as “Redeemer,” to mentoring, Mullen’s creativity and compassion have been the catalyst for a life of ministry that has had global impact. She has long channeled her considerable energy into not just sharing the gospel, but living it; this has never been more evident as she mentors youngsters in the Baby Girls Club, an organization which she founded.

“Mentorship is our way of investing in young people with the hope of Christ and practical experiences,” says Mullen. “We’ve also had the opportunity to help others around the world set up similar clubs, such as in Belize and Zambia. I believe we have a great opportunity to affect the future of our nation and the future of our world.”

Mullen continues to tour around the globe, becoming a highly sought-after speaker and singer, and has frequently graced the stage at Billy Graham and Women of Faith events. Mullen is also writing a book about forgiveness, which she hopes will be available within the next year.
